Civil Judge Senior Division Sumit Makkar has lifted the ban on the
film's release, rejecting the petitioner's request to stay the release
of the film during the hearing held yesterday. The next hearing
regarding the case is scheduled to take place on July 7, 2023.
The
film's cast includes Diljit portraying Chamkila and Parineeti playing
the role of Amarjot. The film revolves around the tragic assassination
of the couple and their musical band members on March 8, 1988. With
Imtiaz Ali as the director, fans are eagerly waiting for more details
